2020 Snow Shan Shu Puerh Cake Description:

Hand plucked from an ancient snow shan trees of Vietnam, this shu (baked) puerh is a combination of earthy, cedar and floral with a creamy finish. Reflective of the ancient trees, this young puerh is complex in flavor.

The Snow Shan trees grow wild in the northern provinces of Vietnam. They have been preserved and cared for without fertilizer or pesticides. These trees, being larger are climbed and plucked by hand by the H'Mong and Dao ethnic groups that take care of the ancient forests of northern Vietnam.

Each cake is approximately 300 grams.

Baked (Shu) Puerh from Yen Bai, Vietnam

Step 1:
Preheat mug or giawan with boiling water, discard and refill.
Step 2:
Steep 3-4 grams puerh leaf in a mug or gaiwan.
Step 3:
Steep first infusion 1 minute, 2nd infusion 1 minute 20 seconds, 3rd infusion 1 minute 50 seconds, subsequent infusions about 2 minutes.
