Organic English Breakfast Tea Description:
Our traditional English Breakfast Tea features beautiful full leaf organic teas blended together for the classic English Breakfast flavor. Malty and woody with notes of wheat, this tea has very light astringency or acidity and a light aftertaste. Keeping with tradition, our English Breakfast Tea is a blend of Keemun and Assam Black Tea.

Classic English Breakfast Tea
Breakfast teas are a staple across the US as they have been in Europe for hundreds of years. As you may have discovered every tea blender has their own version. We tend to focus on the history and traditions behind great teas of the world and our English Breakfast is no different. Classically this tea starts with a Chinese Keemun though the necessities and innovations of trade eventually produced a blend that also includes Assam from India and Ceylon from Sri Lanka. Assam providing floral notes while the Ceylon produces a bit of astringency. Ultimately this produces a great breakfast tea that can be enjoyed as is or with a bit of milk. We've upgraded this blend by using full leaf to give a more robust flavor and mouth feel and all organic tea.
We like steeping this tea initially for 3 minutes and then steeping a second cup for 5 minutes. We like to ice this tea as well during the summer.
- Step 1:
- Preheat mug with boiling water, discard and refill.
- Step 2:
- Steep 1 tsp or 3-4 grams of tea per 8 oz of water.
- Step 3:
- Steep for 3-5 minutes as desired. Experiment with slightly cooler water or shorter steeping times. Try one additional steeping if desired.
