Our Dominion Caravan is crafted to infuse bold, malty mouth feel, a touch of sweetness, and the subtly smoky flavor that only authentic Lapsang Souchong provides. This tea will wake you up and get you moving, especially on brisk fall mornings or cold snowy winter days.

Russian Caravan Significance
Long ago, overland trade routes from Asia to Europe and Russia brought tea on a months long, 6,000 mile journey by camel. This long trip included many campfires which, over time, imparted the aroma and slight taste of pine smoke into tea that traveled this route.
Modern Russian Caravan is a blend which includes the addition of Chinese Lapsang Souchong, a black tea smoked over pine wood. Each tea producer tends to have their own variation with Assam and Ceylon teas commonly part of the mix.
- Step 1:
- Preheat mug with boiling water, discard and refill.
- Step 2:
- Steep 2 flat tsp or 3-4 grams of tea per 8 oz of water.
- Step 3:
- Steep for 3-5 minutes as desired. Experiment with slightly cooler water or shorter steeping times. Try one additional steeping if desired.
