Tea Infused Butter

Tea Infused Butter
This fun way to flavor butter is a great addition to your morning English muffin, steamed veggies, or rice.

  • 1 stick of unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon of Honeybush or your favorite tea (think of teas that go well with milk)

Put the stick of butter in a pan on the stove at low to medium heat. Add in the tsp of tea, as the butter melts stir in the tea leaves and allow to cook for 10 minutes. The butter may take on a pink or orange green hue from the tea, depending on the type of tea you use. At the end of the 10 minutes, pour the butter through a strainer into a container that you will use to store the butter in the refrigerator. Allow the butter to come back to room temperature (it will start to solidify in the container) before you put it into the refrigerator.
