Royal Lily Flowering Tea Description:
Turn your teapot into a work of art! This hand-stitched blooming teas are composed of Chinese green tea leaves, marigold and lily flowers. Immerse them in hot water and watch them unfurl. Then enjoy the floral green tea that comes from the display.
Each package includes two flowering tea balls, each weighing 7-9 grams.

Flowering Teas:
Flowering or blooming teas are handmade and sewn to produce the characteristic flower shape. Additional flowers such as globe amaranth, chrysanthemum, jasmine, lily, hibiscus, and osmanthus are added to the center to provide the color and shape.
It is thought that flowering teas date back to the Song Dynasty (960-1279 BCE) in the Yunnan province of China, however the exact origins are unknown.

- Step 1:
- Add boiling water to a large mug and allow the water to cool to 170°-185° or simply wait 2-5 minutes. If using a larger glass pot then wait closer to 5 minutes.
- Step 2:
- Add one piece to the mug or pot.
- Step 3:
- Steep for approximately 5 minutes. Green teas often have substantially different character depending on the time and temperature used for steeping so experiment with water throughout the range. Try a second steeping.
