Petite Grey Tea Description:

This is our variation on a softer version of Earl Grey that was first developed and sold in the 1990's. A black tea with bergamot oil (as is traditionally used on Earl Grey), Petite Grey rounds out the mouth feel with other citrus flavors found in lemon oil, lemongrass, lemon and orange peels. The result is a citrus black tea that is a bit more refined than its notable sibling Earl Grey.

This is a great choice if you love "The Earls" (the variety of Earl Grey related teas) or if you would prefer something with a touch less bergamot. As a blend with more non-tea ingredients than Earl Grey, our Petite Grey Tea will also have less caffeine.

Conventional Teas

Ingredients:

Our Version of Lady Grey™ Tea

Bergamot Oil, at the heart of Earl Grey, has been used in a variety of tea variations including Earl Grey with Lavender, Earl Vanilla, and The Rose Garden. One of the most well known variations is Lady Grey™ by Twinings - a blend that uses lemon and orange peel to soften the taste of pure Earl Grey and was only created in the early 1990's! Our Petite Grey is a blend in honor of this well known tea.

Step 1:
Preheat mug with boiling water, discard and refill.
Step 2:
Steep 2 round tsp or 3-4 grams of tea per 8 oz of water.
Step 3:
Steep for 3-5 minutes as desired. Experiment with slightly cooler water or shorter steeping times. Try one additional steeping if desired.

This is a great tea for late afternoon. Very light and wonderful. I am a heavy Earl grey drinker and I still like this light one. Try it you will like it.
