Kosabei TGFOP Description:
This specialty tea out of Kenya is, quite simply, an outstanding tea. It is at once light and profound, gentle and astringent with notes of malt, currant and moist earth. Like all good Kenyan teas this tea stands well on its own or can hold its flavor with milk.
Ingredients:
Kenyan Black Tea
Kosabei TGFOP Significance:
Kosabei TGFOP or "Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe" is a high grade Kenyan black tea. Kosabei estate is considered to be one of the best Kenyan teas. One of the early tea growers in Assam, George Williamson, had significant success in India before starting an operation in Kenya. Instead of producing CTC teas like most others in the region, Williamson's produced high quality loose leaf tea using orthodox production techniques brought from the Assam region of India. The region continues to produce outstanding loose leaf teas as well as CTC teas.
