At Home Tea Flights - April 2022 - Chinese Spring Teas
Celebrate the Lunar New Year by exploring three fabulous teas from China. These are a great representation of the skill and mastery of Chinese tea masters.
Gunpowder Organic - A historic Chinese green dating back to the Tang Dynastic, Gunpowder tea (also called Zhu Cha) is hand-rolled into small pellets before drying, giving it its English name. Smooth and herbal in flavor.
Dragon Well Pre-Qing Ming - True Dragon Well, or Longjing, is treasured for its rich and nuanced flavors, light and buttery with notes of sweet corn and nuts. Harvested in Zhejiang, before the Qing Ming festival.
Fenghuang Dancong - This staple of Chinese tea culture hails from the Phoenix Mountain of Guangdong Province. Full leaves are harvested from wild bushes and twisted to produce a golden liquor with floral and honey notes.
Our at home tea flight is a way for you to sample new teas and practice identifying flavors and mouth-feels. We have included a tasting card with a flavor pinwheel for you to use in your sampling to improve and practice your capability to identify flavors.
